I was at my GP's this morning and asked him about the evening drinking
and he was quite unconcerned about it.
I showed him a print out of your message showing my consumption in
units; he made no comment however.
So, knowing my physical and mental condition, he is apparently not too
worried about my evening drinks.
Regarding the surprisingly little harm it is causing, he opined that my body is
now probably totally adapted to cope with the alcohol coming in; in
effect, it is no longer seen as a poisonous substance to be violently
vomited out as it was when I was young.
He hada listen to my chest and was very pleased with how it sounds now,
after exactly one year of not smoking.
It probably sounded pretty dire when I was smoking and coughing all day.
