What is Endoscopic Ultrasonography?

My clinic offers Endoscopic Ultrasonography. What exactly is this? Is
this the same as Barrx? Thanks.

An ultrasound transducer on the end of a gastroscope. Useful in the
diagnosis of some types of pancreatic and biliary tract tumors. Has no
therapeutic value (diagnostic only), and nothing whatsoever to do with
GERD.

You'd better hope that it won't be a useful test for you. The things
that it diagnoses tend to be things you definitely don't want to have.

Thanks. No, I just happened to see it was one of the services offered
at my clinic. Was wondering what it was.
