I think throat acidity is an incurable condition and once you
get it there is no way for one to be free of it. There are days when
your throat feels alright but even if you accidentally eat something
that triggers it off , it will persist for days together. I once saw
a show on BBC Panorama about there being a cure for acidity and the
person who had found this cure claimed that a combination of two types
of antibiotic pills, didn't say which ones would permanently cure
people of heartburn and all forms of stomach acidity. The guy on this
show also went on to say the real reason the cure was being kept a
secret was because pharmaceutical companies were making billions from
the sale of antacids and other drugs for this problem. The guy was a
respectable medical scientist and not a quack. So my question is, is
there any truth in this and are there any antibiotics that can cure
acidity ? Besides this are there any people out there who have any
bright ideas about how to treat this problem. I am sick of having a
strep throat and not being able to breathe freely as well.

My experience was that it was only the Quacks that
had a good answer. My "Quack" cured me of
dyspepsia and reflux in one office visit.

As to using antibiotics to "cure" stomach
acidity, I don't think so. An it doesn't matter
if I go conventional medicine or alternative
medicine that is not how it is. Though if
you take conventional PPI meds, the suppression
of stomach acidity will result in the stomach
being colonized by undesirable microflora
that then can be refluxed into the lungs
and throat by way of microaspiration.
This can result in pneumonia and the
use to antibiotics to quell the infection.
